TikTok QR code for your profile or a video
Make a TikTok QR code that sends people to your profile or straight to one video when they scan it from a sticker, a T-shirt or a poster. The code holds the plain link, so it is static, never expires and passes through no third-party server. It is free with no sign-up, made entirely in your browser, and verified by a real scanner before you download it.
Content: TikTok profile link
Your profile address is tiktok.com/@ followed by your username.
Style
PNG, JPG or SVG up to 2 MB. It stays on your device.
Your codes on this device
Off by default. When on, each downloaded code (type, content, style) is saved in this browser only, never uploaded. You can delete them at any time.
How to make a TikTok QR code
- Your profile link is tiktok.com/@ followed by your username, for example tiktok.com/@yourname. The username is shown under your display name on your profile; the @ is part of the address.
- For a single video, open it, tap Share and then Copy link. Paste it into a browser and copy the final address, which begins with tiktok.com/@yourname/video/, rather than the short vm.tiktok.com link.
- Paste the address into TikTok profile link and press Test link to confirm it opens the right profile or video.
- Style it if you wish with a Style preset, your Foreground colour and your own logo via Upload logo; TikTok's logo is not included.
- Wait for Verified: scans as URL, then Download PNG for stickers and merchandise mock-ups or Download SVG for the print shop.
TikTok QR code details
The code contains one address, such as https://tiktok.com/@yourname or the full address of a single video. A phone camera reads it, shows the link and opens it; TikTok then shows the profile or plays the video in the browser or in the app. The code is small because the link is short: a profile address of around 30 bytes fits a 29 × 29 module code at error correction M, and a video address of about 60 bytes needs 33 × 33.
Finding the right link
Your username is shown under your display name on your profile, prefixed with @. The profile address is tiktok.com/@ plus that username. For a video, the Share sheet gives a short vm.tiktok.com link; open it in a browser and copy the address it resolves to, which begins with tiktok.com/@yourname/video/ and a long number. That is the permanent address. Strip anything after a question mark, since those are sharing parameters and only make the code bigger.
Where to use it
Stickers on laptops and packaging, merchandise, event posters, the counter of a shop, business cards and thank-you notes. On a T-shirt, keep the code at least 6 cm wide and on a flat, light panel so it scans on fabric.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting the @. tiktok.com/yourname without the @ does not resolve to the profile.
- Printing a video code on long-lived signage. If the video is deleted, the code leads to an error page. Link the profile instead.
- Neon colours. A bright pink or cyan code on white often falls below the 3:1 contrast the checker requires; use the dark shade for the modules.
Before printing, scan the downloaded PNG with the QR code reader to confirm the decoded address is exactly the one you pasted.
This code never expires
The code holds your profile or video link as plain text, so it keeps working for as long as the username or video exists. This is a static QR code: the data is written into the pattern, so scanning it needs no server, no account and no subscription. There is nothing to renew and no redirect that can be switched off, which is why a code made here keeps working for as long as the printed copy exists. The trade-off is honest: a static code cannot be edited after printing and does not count scans. If you need either, encode a link to a page you control. Read how static and dynamic codes differ, and if a code you already have has stopped working, see why QR codes expire.
Styling, formats and print size
Every code can be styled in the Style panel: six dot shapes, corner shapes, solid or gradient colours, a transparent background, a quiet zone of 0–8 modules, and your own logo up to 30 percent of the width. A contrast checker warns below 3:1 and blocks downloads below 1.5:1, and after each change the preview is decoded again so the badge tells you whether the styled code still scans.
| Output | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PNG | Web, documents, quick prints | 256 to 4096 px; transparent background supported |
| SVG | Designers and print shops | Vector, scales without limit; logo embedded |
| Printing at an exact size | Vector modules at a chosen width in mm or inches, optional caption | |
| JPG | Platforms that reject PNG | White background; no transparency |
| EPS | Legacy print workflows | Vector from the module matrix, no logo |
| Copy / Print | Pasting into a document; a quick paper test | PNG to the clipboard; print view with caption |
Print size: as a rule of thumb the code should be at least one tenth of the scanning distance wide, with the quiet zone included.
| Scan distance | Minimum width |
|---|---|
| 0.5 m (arm's length) | 5 cm |
| 1 m | 10 cm |
| 2 m | 20 cm |
| 5 m | 50 cm |
Stickers and cards are scanned from 20–30 cm, so 2.5 cm is enough; a poster read from 2 m needs 20 cm. Short profile links make the smallest codes.
The QR code size guide has a calculator for module size, DPI and distance.
Frequently asked questions
Does a TikTok QR code expire?
No. The code stores the tiktok.com address as text; the phone opens it directly with no shortener or redirect service in between, so there is nothing to lapse. It stops working only if you change your username or delete the video it points to, and then you simply make a new code.
Should I link to my profile or a video?
Profile links are shorter, give a smaller code and keep working after the video is gone. Video links are useful on material tied to one piece of content, such as a launch poster. If in doubt, link the profile and pin the video you care about to the top of it.
Why should I avoid the vm.tiktok.com share link?
The short link from the app's Share button is a redirect that TikTok generates for sharing and may include tracking parameters. It usually works, but the full tiktok.com/@name/video/ address is the destination itself and is what you want fixed in print. Open the short link in a browser and copy the address it lands on.
Will it open the TikTok app?
The phone opens the link in the browser first, and on most phones TikTok then hands over to the app if it is installed. Without the app, the web version plays the video or shows the profile. The code contains only the address, so the phone and TikTok decide, not the code.
Can I print it on a T-shirt or a sticker?
Yes. For fabric, keep the code simple with a short profile link, at least 6 cm wide, plain black on a white or light panel, and avoid stretching. For stickers, 2.5 cm and above scans well; use the SVG so the printer can scale it. Test on the actual material before ordering a run.
